- Description
- Under the authority of the Test Program for Commercial Items (Section 4202 of the Clinger Cohen Act of 1996), it is the Government's intent to award a sole source contract to Dell Federal Systems, L.P., 1 Dell Way, Round Rock, TX 78682-7000, for the purchase of hardware, software, and associated installation and support services, for the integration of a data storage archive platform into the existing storage platform. The hardware, software, and associated support and installation services are manufacturer specific and substitutions of like items will not integrate into the existing system. This notice is not a formal solicitation and is not considered a request for quotation or proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties must respond by 2:00 p.m., September 10, 2008. The Government reserves the right to execute an award without publishing a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
