- Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The Embassy of the United States in Manila will launch the solicitation on FedBizOpps. This solicitation to require the operation and management of Local Guard Services in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all U.S. assets, and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the contract. The estimated number of hours required for each year is 755,245. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Anticipated performance is for one base year period and four one-year option periods. Major duties and responsibilities are to perform access control to limit entry to only authorized personnel or visitors, the operation of walk-through metal detectors, hand-held detectors and special monitoring devices. Services will not include Surveillance Detection Operation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation in late September or October 2008 timeframe. Again, this solicitation will be issued via the FEDBIZOPPS – no paper copies will be mailed.
