- Under the authority of the Test Program for Commercial Items (Section 4202 of the Clinger Cohen Act of 1996), it is the Government's intent to award a sole source contract to Applied Data Trends, 215 Wynn Drive, Suite 321, Huntsville, AL 35805-1926, for the purchase of 60 each Tactical Office Workstations (TOWs) Model #TOWS001, 12 each functional spare hard drives model #TOWS002, and 1 each extended maintenance and support package. This is a follow-on requirement for the continued provision of highly specialized products. Linux Tactical Office Patriot Planning (LTPO)software is a commercial product that is created, developed, maintained, and owned by ADT and because of the sensitive nature of its components, release of this software to the user community is controlled by Linux and ADT. This notice is not a formal solicitation and is not considered a request for quotation or proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties must respond by 2:00 p.m., September 10, 2008. The Government reserves the right to execute an award without publishing a solicitation. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
