- NSN: 1015-01-486-0295, Part Number 57K4089. The item to procure is a Turret Lifting Kit. It consists of Turret Lifting Sling, Turret Lifting Eye Assy, and a Liting Eye Assy. Allparts are made from steel and some require welding, heat treatment to Rockwell C29-35, magnetic particle inspection and proof testing. Requirements are 58 each Turret Llifting Kits. FOB is Destination. For use on the M1A1 Abrams Tank. Estimated issue date is 01 October 2008. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore hard copies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or about the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/indes.htm. This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet sitaddress in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtany any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals amy render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. The proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside.
