Description
BLDG 991 CHIHewitt Hall Garage Concrete Pad Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment to construct a fixed form, 4-3/4" - 6" thick (including joints, finishing and curing), concrete pad approximately 138'x 115' in Hewitt Garage indicated in the attachment..Location: Hewitt Parking Garage.Scope: Pour ~4-3/4" - 6" concrete floor (on grade to match existing curb height of vestibule) over existing concrete deck. This will carry floor height to be the same floor height as that existing in the elevator vestibule lobby. Existing floor drains to be plugged. Reinforce concrete with one layer of 6 x 6-W4.0 x W4.0 welded wire fabric. Quantity ~ 15,900 sf. In some areas thickness will vary due to sloping at floor drains (ranges from ~4-3/4" - 6"). Bounded on three sides by existing structure: elevator vestibule wall in Hewitt Basement, rear of parking garage, and side of parking garage. The fourth side of the rectangular floor to be poured will result in approximately 4" - 4-3/4" curb to the existing garage. During all work progress the contractor shall be responsible for building contents protection and clean up of the surrounding jobsite and dumpsite areas on a daily basis. Contractor shall also be expected to restore all damaged areas of existing structures, equipment, finishes caused by work progress to their pre-construction condition at the contractor's expense and verified as such by the Contracting Officer. Contractor shall at the end of the project remove and dispose of all debris generated at the jobsite from the Naval War College premises.Safety Requirements: Contractor shall refer to and comply with the NAVFAC Safety Requirements Reference USACE Safety Manual #EM 385-1-1, dated November 2003, during all phases of work progress.
