- Solicitation Number: SSAFCO1005- FR BROOKS INDUSTRY DAY 11/12/2008 Special Notice Air Force Fire Resistant Industry Days(12-14 November 2008) Announcement The SAFE ALAMO Chapter, in coordination with the 77th Aeronautical Systems Group (77 AESG), Brooks City-Base, Texas, is hosting the 2nd Annual Fire Resistant(FR) Industry Day in San Antonio, Texas on 12-14 Nov 08. The event will kick off on the 12 Nov @ 1200 with government presentations followed by one-on-one sessions. The session will continue on into 13 Nov 08 and the morning of 14 Nov 08. Please see attached SAFE ALAMO Chapter FR Industry Day Registration Form The 648th Aeronautical Systems Squadron (648 AESS) Air Force Uniform SPM will focus this event in gathering information from industry on fire-resistant undergarments, fire-resistant balaclavas, fire-resistant light weight materials, and fire-resistant jackets and pants. Another interest for the Air Force is FR Chemical-Biological protection technology. Offerors will be permitted to conduct demonstrations, which must be incorporated into their 35 minute presentation time. The 649th Aeronautical Systems Squadron (649 AESS) is interested in any information and novel solutions from industry for materials that combine Fire Resistant (FR) properties with Chemical-Biological (CB) protection for use in aviator gloves. These gloves must offer lightweight protection from fire and CB agents while providing maximum breathability, tactility, and dexterity to the wearer. Offerors will be permitted to conduct demonstrations, which must be incorporated into their allotted presentation time. Offerors will also be permitted to present any evidence of, and test data from, chemical agent or Toxic Industrial Material (TIM) testing of the proposed glove solution and/or glove material, as well as the test method and conditions under which the data was obtained. The event will be held at the Wyndham ST. Anthony Hotel at 300 E. Travis St. in downtown San Antonio, Texas 78205 - Registration for this event is required through the ALAMO SAFE Chapter. Registration Fees will apply. We are allowing only 40 companies or less to attend this industry day event. Each company is only allowed a max of two representatives. Please bring own individual laptops if needed. Corporate Individual Attendee $100.00 EA Individual/Government Attendee $ 50.00 EA Individual SAFE Alamo Chapter Member $ 25.00 EA - NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED. Event registration fees may be mailed to SAFE Alamo Chapter, P.O. Box 35344, Brooks City-Base Texas 78235, through 17 Oct 08. Please enclose a copy of your individual registration form. Registration fees are nonrefundable. -Advanced registration is required. This will help scheduling the one-on-one sessions if requested. Fee will be to cover conference rooms and administrative costs.
