- Description
- NASA/HQ plans to issue a purchase order for a membership to participate on the CIOExecutive Board, a program of the Corporate Executive Board. The authority is only oneresponsible source 10 u.s.c.2304(c)(1).The membership in Corporate Executive Board provides full access rights to the CIOExecutive Board, research, leading-edge content, online resources, member events,decision-support tools and services. The Corporate Executive Board provides bestpractices research and executive education to a membership of the worlds leadingcorporations and not-for-profit institutions. Its research addresses issues related tocorporate strategy, operations and general management, and it focuses on identifyingmanagement initiatives, process, tools and frameworks that will allow its clients toavoid reinventing the wheel in addressing problems they share in common with their peers.The membership includes unlimited accesses to proprietary council research for staffdesignated by the member CIO; a series of Annual Executive Retreats offering a uniqueopportunity for CIOs to interact with other Council principals; on site presentation ofresearch of the most progressive IT departments; customized to the Council membersorganizational requirements. NASA/HQ intends to issue a purchase order to the Corporate Executive Board for amembership in the CIO Executive Board.The authority is only one responsible source 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) Only one responsiblesource and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (See FAR6.302-1).The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing, by FAX or E-Mail, to the identified point of contact not later than12:30 p.m. local time on September 15, 2008. Such capabilities/ qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determiningwhether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis,based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
