- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 562111, and the size standard is $10.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This procurement is a fixed price indefinite quantity contract, and will be a base year with four option years. Evaluation of award will include options. Evaluation of award will be strictly price related. The scope of work is as follows: Contractor will provide containers, pick-up, and disposal of non-hazardous trash. 1. Place one 40-yard container in the "bone yard". This container will be used to collect waste from offices, lunchrooms, and maintenance shops. Approximately 80 tons of waste per year is generated. Dumpster must have a removable cover, according to 40 CFR 243.200-1(a). 2. Place one 25-yard container at the Sand Tower. This container will be used to collect ashes from coal-burning steam locomotives. This ash is non-hazardous, and will be accepted at landfills. Approximately 40 tons of ash is generated per year. 3. Provide additional short-term containers on an as-needed basis.Pick-up and replacement of containers will be on an on-call basis. Contractor shall respond within 24 hours of call, between 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. All delivery/pick-up tickets will be signed by NPS employee. Contractor will invoice monthly. Certified weight tickets will be furnished with invoices.
