- The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Contract to procure 150 pounds of alloy, 145 degrees F (60 degrees C), lead and cadmium-free to be used by the Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity located in Yorktown, Virginia for lens-making. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 13.1, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Quotes are due by 11:00 a.m., 16 September 2008 and may be faxed to the attention of Bonnie Parker or e-mailed to bonnie.parker@navy.mil. The North American Industry Classification System code is 333992, Welding and Soldering Equipment Manufacturing. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at https: www.neco.navy.mil as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. The Solicitation Number is N00189-08-T-0641. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither it nor its principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal.
