- Solicitation Number: F3M3SF8197A003 Notice Type: Sources Sought Synopsis: The 43d Security Forces Squadron at Pope AFB, North Carolina is seeking search equipment items. The information sought herein is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for quote (RFQ), request for proposal (RFP), and invitation for bid (IFB) or as an obligation or commitment on the part of the Government to acquire any product or service. There shall be no basis for claims against the government as a result of information submitted in response to the sources sought announcement. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this announcement or otherwise pay for any information submitted by respondents to this request. This notice is for market research purposes only and is not indicative of a full requirement. Should a full requirement arise, the full requirement will be detailed in the solicitation, if issued. The specifications of the GALLS or equal search equipment needed are as follows: 1. GALLS-SL089, Streamlight H.I.D. LITEBOX® w/ AC/DC Charger or equal, QTY: 15 each 2. GALLS-LE449, SERIES 600 PORTABLE DETECTIVE MIRROR or equal QTY: 20 each 3. GALLS- LE372, Clamp-On Wheel Assembly for Salient Inspection Mirror or equal QTY: 20 each 4. GALLS- AP001, SUPER WAND METAL DETECTOR QTY: 20 each Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a government contract. Offers are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will your firm ineligible for an award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. It is recommended interested sources complete their registration immediately in order to be eligible for a timely award. This sources sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. All interested parties must respond to the solicitation separately from their response to this sources sought notice. Sources Sought Instructions: A written response with detailed information is requested of those suppliers who can provide search equipment meeting the required specifications. Or equal to items shall provide a specification sheet providing full capapbility listing. Detailed information shall include the vendor's capability of providing the required goods and current commercial availability. Responses to this notice are due on or before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2008. Priority for consideration will be given to small businesses.
