- The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, on behalf of the US Army Medical Materiel Agency, has a requirement for 200 SeQual Model 5700 Eclipse Oxygen Concentration Systems (NSN 515-01-559-9808). The equipment to be purchased must be capable of fitting within the MRAP BAE 33 and IMG CAT I vehicles allotted storage space, and able to successfully operate in temperatures up to 130 degrees F. USAMRAA intends to negotiate a sole source contract for the purchase of this equipment with SeQual Technologies, 11436 Sorrento Valley Road, San Diego, CA 92121. The intent is to make a sole source award pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document exists. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Any firm that believes it can provide the stated capability within the established timeframe is invited to submit written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the firms ability to provide the stated capability within the established timeframe. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer at: USAMRAA, ATTN: MCMR-AAA-G (Gilbert Hovermale), 820 Chandler Street, Frederick, MD 21702-5014. No telephone requests will be accepted. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, USAMRAA will proceed with the sole source contract.
