- Fort Rucker Directorate of Contracting intends to award a sole source purchase order to EFW, Incorporated for the purchase of components associated with resizing IHADSS Helmets to meet the training needs at Fort Rucker, Alabama. The required components are the IHADSS suspension assembly and the IHADSS NVG Visor Assembly. The IHADSS is proprietary to EFW, Incorporated. This purchase will be issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 19 September 2008. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, nor is a solicitation available. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action, based on responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
