- This is a request for information (sources sought) and not a solicitation. This sources sought notice is issued for the purpose of determining whether there are two or more business concerns capable of providing the requirements described herein. NAICS code 541512 applies to this sources sought notice. The Fort Carson Range Control Division has a requirement to upgrade the communication systems of their computerized range control targeting systems. Specifically, the targeting control communication system must be upgraded from wide to narrow band during the August to September 2008 time frame. The original targeting control system was acquired approximately ten years ago from Meggitt Training Systems Caswell, Inc, Minneapolis MN 55418-3412; now doing business as Meggitt Training Systems, Inc. The range control targeting system consists of desk top computers, software and associated hardware. Meggitt Training Systems refers to their computers as Rangemaster, model number 9000 computers. Interested vendors shall forward a written statement of interest in this potential acquisition. Specifically, vendors shall summarize their ability to provide this agency with the above requirements to include software and follow-on warranty support. Vendors are also required to state estimated lead times to deliver the requirements to Fort Carson, CO. Potential vendors shall expressly state their intent to use subcontractors in the performance of an actual contract. Responses to this notice are due not later than 12 September 2008, 1600 hours, Mountain Time Zone. Responses shall be written and telephone responses will not be accepted.
