- Per our conversation this morning, removal of the old hardwired stoves will require permanent removal of the bottom cabinet drawer, removal and re-installation of both backsplash formica tops, and a small cut on the back right side countertop (approx 1") to be able to install the new appliance. Electrical includes installation of a flush mount 220 receptcle (3 wire) and installation of the 3 prong cord on the new stove. Since we have done one stove in-house and tracked the time it took for the electrical and structural work was approx 1.5 for each trade for a total of 3.0 hrs. Please see the attachment that shows picture of replacement and installation. The picutre 1356 004.jpg is the picture of the existing ranges. The next photos show the removal/installation process. ****************************************************** A pre-proposal site visit for this solicitation will be held at Travis AFB, CA. Date, time, location, and specific information are as follows: Date: September 9, 2008 Time: 2:00 PM, PST Location: Visitors' Center (Bldg 605) Located outside the Main Gate Travis AFB, CA 94535-2632 There will be a one time visit on September 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM to view dorm rooms at Travis Air Force Base and the existing ranges and range hoods. This visit is open to all interested offeror. If you plan on attending, I will need confirmation by September 8, 2008 at 3:00 PM PST. All interested offerors will meet and park in the parking lot of the Visitors Center (Building 605), located outside the Main Gate, prior to 2:00 PM where transportation will be provided for site visit. All interest parties shall have a photo ID. All personnel attending the site visit shall abide by all security regulations and requirements of the installation. ********************************************************* The posting will be extended to September 12, 2008 at 3:00PM PST. ********************************************************* The range has to be 20". It cannot be any wider. The stove top height is at 36 1/2". It has to be between 36" and 36 1/2". Make sure that any proposals also include the dimensions of the stove top height, not just the whole range.
