- Description
- Solicitation will be issued for puchase of 1000 Gallon Foam Trailer upon fund availability. The trailer must meet the requirements stated below. 1.The Foam Trailer shall be able to hold 1000 gallons of Class B foam concentration. It shall also be capable of resupplying other apparatus for both airport and structural firefighting as well as replenishing itself via an onboard pumping system. The foam tank will be made of copolymer high impact resistant plastic and be manufactured In Accordance With (IAW) NFPA 1901 Chapter 7 & 19. The trailer shall also be made of material that will not deteriorate when exposed to sunlight, extreme weather or other operational conditions. Additionally, trailer will not exceed 285 inches long, 102 inches wide and 65 inches high when measured from road surface. Trailer will need to have 4 tires along with wheels able to withstand the maximum load capacity of the trailer. 2.Weight shall be distributed equally as practical over the axles and tires when fully loaded. Also the tongue weight when loaded to ensure proper over the road performance. Trailer shall also have 2 over the tank storage compartments with tread plate construction as well as be watertight. Each compartment will measure 16” deep x 15” wide x 61” long. Hose bed will incorporate 2 preconnects capable of holding 200’ of 1 ¾” fire hose for foam concentrate offload and one hose bed capable of holding 200’ of 3” fire hose for supply storage. 3.Paint will be red base coat with clear coat point system and reflective decals installed per our instructions with base logo striping and lettering. Trailer will also have 4 pre-wired telescoping halogen lights on each corner of trailer. Trailer shall have generator with sufficient wattage to power lights. 4.Also request that vendor give a warranty including all parts integral to the trailer function. Trailer shall have a warranty fulltime warranty to cover foam storage tank and all equipment supplied shall be covered under the individual manufacturer’s warranty.
