Small Business Set-Aside

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned
 

Description

This acquisition is 100% set-aside for service-disabled, veteran-owned small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 423430, “Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers.” The corresponding small business size standard is 100 employees. See FAR 2.101 for the definition of service-disabled veteran, including 38 USC 101(2) and 38 USC 101(16). Any quotation received which does not meet the service-disabled, veteran-owned eligibility criteria will be rejected. The Defense Logistics Agency, Contract Services Office-Battle Creek has a requirement for five (5) each, Hewlett-Packard Model 9250C Digital Sender or an “OR EQUAL” digital sender. The Government is soliciting new equipment only. Quotations for reconditioned or remanufactured equipment (as defined at FAR 11.001) are unacceptable and will be rejected. If you elect to submit a quotation for an “OR EQUAL” digital sender, then the “OR EQUAL” digital sender must meet or exceed all the identified physical, functional or technical characteristics shown in the attached EXCEL spreadsheet. The EXCEL spreadsheet identifies all of the Government’s minimum important (salient) physical, functional or technical characteristics. The offeror bears the entire burden of including sufficiently detailed information in its initial quotation submission to establish that the “OR EQUAL” item offered meets or exceeds each of the Government’s minimum physical, functional or technical characteristics. Unsupported blanket statements of full compliance of the “OR EQUAL” item are not acceptable and will be rejected. Inspection, acceptance and F.O.B. are at destination, Battle Creek, Michigan. Required delivery date is 30 days after receipt of a signed order. This acquisition is conducted under FAR Parts 12 and 13. Forward a copy of your standard commercial warranty concurrently with your quotation. The date and time set for receipt of your quotation is Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Please place RFQ # SP4704-08-Q-1055 in the SUBJECT line of the e-mail message. Send your quotation and commercial warranty document to OperationalContracting@dla.mil. You may also fax your quotation and commercial warranty document to (269)961-4474, ATTN: DCSO-B/David D. Straughn. No telephone calls accepted.
