Description
The Marine Corps Air Station, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for various line items of tactical gear. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M00146-08-T-3348 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26 and Defense Acquisition Circular 98-100. This acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System code 339999. The Government intends to award a firm fixed priced contract, brand name or equal, for the following items: Note: Full descriptions can be found on the internet. The manufacturer names and part numbers are provided only to assist potential offerors in understanding the Government's requirement. The Government is not soliciting or suggesting a particular name brand, and will consider offers for any brand that fulfills the Government's need. Item 0001 - 120 each, Urban OPS single point sling, P/N 61013-2, mfr: Tactical Tailor. 33L x 1.5W, single point sling, easily transition from left to right shoulder or to pie a corner. Must have release buckles which will allow the user to detach the weapon while keeping the sling around the body. Item 0002 - 10 each, super scanner, P/N 1165180, mfr: Garrett Metal Hand held metal detector used to accurately detect concealed metallic items. Large paddle design. Includes function lights and interference reduction function. Item 0003 - 120 each, blunt nose – multi-plier 600, black, P/N 07520, mfr: Gerber Legendary Blades. Non-reflective finish, Flick of the wrist one-handed opening pliers, Blunt nose pliers, Overall Length: 5-7", Length Closed: Not to exceed 5", Pliers Type: Blunt nose; Other components: wire cutter, wire crimper, fine edge knife, serrated knife, cross point screwdriver, small medium and large flat blade screwdrivers, lanyard ring, can opener, bottle opener, file, and ruler.
