- DESCRIPTION: The VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with BK Medical, 250 Andover St, Wilmington, MA 01887, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC 2005-26. Only one responsible source is known for this procurement. It is additional equipment for use on a ProFocus machine, 2974025, previously purchased. The procurement is to obtain one (1) 3D Professional for 2202, which includes 3D Module Mover, and a 6-16 MHZ Anorectal Transducer with Built-in 3D HC MDL 64575 & 65624, 75086 CL 3. Brand Name or Equal applies. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is notice of intent to award sole source under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Note - No award will be issued from responses to this notice. Response to this notice does not legally bind the government in any manner. Your concerns will be considered if you respond to this posting with a similar product/service. All proposals received by 2:00 P.M. Central Time, September 10, 2008, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
