Description

TO PROCURE MTS 1000HZ RATE GRIPS FOR FLAT SPECIMENS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR CERAMIC, FRETTING, AND METAL MATRIX COMPOSITE TESTING IN THE MATERIAL TEST FACILITY. THE CUSTOMIZED GRIP IS USED WITH EXISTING MTS 1000HZ TEST FRAME. SIC Code 3829 NAICS Code 334519, Size Standard 500 employees. This is a Sole Source procurement synopsis published for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available. This proposed contract action is for procurement of The specialized grip is designed to be compatible with AFIT's existing MTS 1000Hz test frame. The grip is engineered to not only be mechanically compatible with existing equipment, but also match the machines resonances for optimal frequency range performance. The proposed source is: MTS Systems Corporation, Eden Prairie, MN This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the Government will consider all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
