Description
In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management Policy, Section 3.2.1.3.12.2 Procurements Involving Products from Federal Prison Industries, the FAA Alaskan Region has a requirement for 76 each adjustable ergonomic chairs, for the Anchorage FSDO office located at 300 W. 36th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99503 The FAA will solicit directly from furniture dealers located within the Southcentral Alaska area in order to have a local contract for onsite furniture issues that may arise during delivery and installation. The FAA requires contractor to provide storage, delivery, off-loading, assembly and installation of the office chairs to the site. The Federal Prison Industries is an exception to this requirement. The ergonomic chair features shall include: adjustable lumbar depth and height; tilt tension; seat-pan angle; seat height; adjustable armrest angle and height; kinematic tilt mechanism; mesh-like Pellicle material upholstery on the backrest and seat; and come in multiple sizes to accommodate smaller and larger body frames. Additional notice for informational purpose for Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: DOT, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (SADBU) has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
