- Cincinnati VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with B & B Microscopes Limited to purchase: Slidebook LR for Windows 2000/XP, Sutter Mambda 10-2 Controller + Excitation Wheel, Sutter Emission Wheel, Sutter 300W Xenon Lamphouse, Zeiss Liquid Light Guide Adapter, Zeiss Trinocular Head Emission Adapter, 10B ORCA-R2, Imaging Computer. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 333314 and is a Small Business. The Government believes that B & B Microscopes Limited is the only manufacture that can satisfy the agency requirements for upgrading an existing system. Therefore, the Government intends to proceed with a sole source procurement for the required supplies and or services. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 - only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. To the best of our knowledge, B & B Microscopes Limited, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is the only source that can provide the above indicated items and features. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Telephone and facsimile requests/inquiries will not be accepted. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer at RonaldMichael.Morgan@va.gov. If electronic format is not available, then please send to Contracting Officer Lonnie E. Winkler, Cincinnati VAMC, 3200 Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH, 45220. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Cincinnati VA Medical Center will precede with the sole source negotiation with B & B Microscopes Limited, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
