- Description
- The Department of Justice, Justice Management Division has a requirement to procure maintenance services for the Justice Telecommunications System (JUST). JUST is a store-and-forward message switching system that provides Department of Justice (DOJ) headquarters and field offices, as well as other Federal agencies, with inter-connectivity as well as connectivity to law enforcement databases. JUST is a critical tool in the support of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Bureau of Prisons in terms of managing prisoner housing and transfer initiations, and the United States Attorneys acquisition of information from various databases, when representing the United States Attorney General in various federal court cases. The JUST system utilizes software that was created by and is proprietary to Computer Projects of Illinois (CPI). The DOJ intends to issue a sole source contract to CPI for the maintenance of this software and related hardware. This will be a five year contract. Any vendor who feels they are capable of performing these services should contact the Contracting Officer and provide a capabilities statement.
