Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3Z4538228A003, this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26 and Defense DCN 20080513. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325199. The business size standard is 1,000 employees. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is Q999. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 2869. Travis Air Force Base intends to award a sole source requiremement for the generation of Analyte Specific Reagent (ASR) primers and probes. See the attached list of primers and probes. Justification for a sole source include the following: The sole source vendor is the only company that makes ASR labeled primers and probes in the required amount of time. No other company has the capability to generate these primer/probe sets. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
