- Description
- The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Oregon State Office, plans to award a sole source purchase order to the Lane County Sherriff's Office to provide law enforcement services on BLM managed lands in the BLM Eugene District. Duties will include full-time enforcement of State and local laws on the public lands by sworn personnel, providing additional coverage on national holidays and particularly summer weekends. The initial contract will be awarded for a base year plus four option years. This acquisition is pursuant to 41 USC 253(c) and is considered a Commercial Item. The NAICS code is 922120 and there is no small business size standard for this classification of services. All parties who possess the necessary authority and ability to perform this work may submit a qualifications statement to BLM, referencing solicitation no. HAQ081026, at or952mb@blm.gov by noon on September 16th, 2008, local time (PST). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
