Description
The NASA Glenn Research Center is seeking businesses capable of performing theGlenn Pressure Systems Certification (GPSC) contract for the National Aeronautics andSpace Administration (NASA), Glenn Research Center (GRC), Cleveland, Ohio which includesPlum Brook Station (PBS), Sandusky, Ohio. As part of this Performance Work Statement(PWS), the Contractor shall provide maintenance, repair, inspection and recertificationcapabilities for equipment in GRC. These activities shall emphasize supporting theresearch (aeronautical and space) missions of GRC in a safe, reliable, and timely manner,with minimum disruptions to the Center operations. Also, the company must be capable ofsupporting additional work effort without delay as requested by the government. Thecompany shall have additional personnel/resources available to address urgent andemergency tasks; i.e. personnel/resources with experience who are readily available torespond to load variations similar in scope and nature.The systems and equipment to be recertified and maintained under this contract are housedin various buildings and locations throughout Lewis Field and Plum Brook Station. Specific information on the number and types of systems and equipment included in thiscontract are provided in GRCs Pressure Systems Database.Various gases and cryogenic liquids including, but not limited to, nitrogen, hydrogen,oxygen, helium and argon are delivered to GRC by others and stored in pressure vesselsand cryogenic dewars. Distribution of these fluids to various test cells and researchfacilities is provided by piping systems and components, which are included in the PSPVscope.Pressurized systems include the Central Process System, wind tunnels, vacuumvessels, tanks (air, oil, cooling tower water, fuel, etc.) dryers, dehydrators, coolers,filters, separators and other components, required maintenance, repair, inspection andrecertification, of these vessels, piping and components are included in the scope ofthis contract.Offerors shall submit a capability statement that addresses the above criteria. NorthAmerican Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561210. NOSOLICITATION EXISTS; THEREFORE, PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. If asolicitation is released it will be synopsized at www.FedBizOpps.gov.It is thepotential offerors responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of anysolicitation or synopsis. In order to ascertain the method of procurement for theservices outlined above, all qualified businesses are invited to submit their CAPABILITYSTATEMENT to the NASA Glenn Research Center. Information to be provided SHALL include,but not limited to, name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenuefor the past 3 years and number of employees; ownership, whether they are a Large, Small,Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), HUBZone, and/or Woman-Owned business; number of years inbusiness; affiliate information; parent company; joint venture partners; potentialteaming partners; prime contractor (if you are interested as a potential subcontractor);list of customers covering the past 3 years (highlight relevant work performed, contractnumbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and points of contact addressesand phone numbers).
