Description
National Institute on Drug Abuse, Office of Acquisitions- Neurosciences, Station Support/Simplified Acquisition, on behalf of the National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH) intends to negotiate on a FAR Part 12 basis and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Illumina Inc., 9885 Towne Center Dr., San Diego, CA 92121. This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. This NOI is not a small business set aside. The contractor shall supply one custom Goldengate genotyping kits with VeraCode, 384-Plex. Each package contains genetype 384 loci in a single well of a standard 96 well microplate and VeraScan software interface enables customization of Bead Xpress reader scanning protocols, acquisitions, viewing of data, and report generation. The sole source justification is based on the manufacturer's Goldengate Assay DNA analysis methods to reagents and all associated accessories. Illumina is the only known vendor that provides the most consistent genotyping data for large genomic regions that is easily translatable into current databases in efficient manner. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The government intends to select the offer that represents the best value to the Government, price and all other factors considered.
