- NASA/JSC has an immediate requirement for software license renewals, 12-monthmaintenance, and technical support of Geomagic Studio and Qualify software tools. NASA/JSC intends to purchase this requirement directly from the manufacturer, LaserDesign, Inc (LDI). LDI is a small business. It is understood that these softwarelicense renewals, upgrades and maintenance are only offered through the manufacturer. The upgrades are required to support the SLP-330 laser probe which is a proprietarystereo 3D laser scanner with LDI as the OEM.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon the above-specified date. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solelyfor the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on acompetitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed efforton a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solelywithin the discretion of the Government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. Communications are tobe sent to the posted e-mail address for the Contracting Officer. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
