- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR CLEANINGOF LIQUID OXYGEN TANKS AND PIPING. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in theirquote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a writtenamendment will not be issued.The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions that were asked before the closingdate.Question 1: When or how soon will the award be made and do you have a tentative windowfor award till completion of this project?Answer 1: It is anticipated that an award will be made within a few weeks of the RFQclose date. It is desired that the work start within 30 days of award with no specifictime limit on the duration of the work. However, the vendor needs to submit the timerequired for completion of project along with the quotation for review and approval.Question 2: Is site visit a mandatory event for consideration for award?Answer 2: The site visit is not mandatory but highly recommended since its the vendorsresponsibility for verification of actual pipe lengths and physical locations per theSOW. Additionally, the site visit will allow for a clearer understanding of the type ofwork required and an opportunity to ask any questions for clarification.The due date for receipt of offers is not extended.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on August 26, 2008. Documents related to thisprocurement are available over the Internet. These documents reside on a World Wide Web(WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
