- Sole Source Notice: This is a notice of intent to sole source. The Louis Stokes Cleveland, Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141, In accordance with FAR Part 13.106(b) and 41 USC 253 (c) (1) to solicit with a single source for the Procurement of a Magstim Standard Rapid2. The Department of Veterans Affairs intent is to sole source the following requirement to Jali Medical Inc. Company. The North American Industry Classification System code is 454390, $7million. The purpose of this procurement is to assist the Research Department in the studies of interpretations of Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation brain functions from stroke patients who exhibit good motor recovery after stroke. These studies will enable the researchers to develop more accurate measures of brain control motor functions along with changes in brain control after introducing innovative motor learning interventions. The data from the Magstim Standard Rapid2 will be used in conjunction with existing data. This procurement demonstrates a unique and innovative concept to provide this particular research and the VA believes that this is the only company that can provide this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven (7) calendar days from the date of the publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to Maladean E. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed to sole source this requirement to the Jali Medical Inc.
