- The US Geological Survey intends to award a non-competitive purchase order to Heritage Group Inc. of Littleton, CO, for the purchase of one each, Syscal Pro Switch 96 Resistivity System, to include console, battery charger, 12V external power cable, data transfer cable, cable for 96 electrodes at 5m spacing, 96 electrodes with connecting clips, and ProSys and Electre Pro software, and one each, Res3DInv Software, to include 2D version. This is the latest model electrical resistance tomography system that has the capability of captuing dynamic changes in soil moisture faster than any other system on the market. It has 10 input channels. For use in determining subsurface hydrology from infiltration experiments, the increased temporal resolution makes it possible to investigate important physical phenomena (e.g., time-varying infiltration processes in desert soils) that are too dynamic for detection with slower systems. Heritage Group Inc. is the only source known that distributes this equipment. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to the Contract Specialist by e-mail (rpaprocki@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in the announcement.
