Description
Solicitation No. W81XWH-08-T-0422 will be issued on or about 3 September 2008 and proposals will be due on or about 16 September 2008 at 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. for the government requirement for RVEc Vaccine GLP-Compliant Repeated Dose Toxicity Study in New Zealand White Rabbits for the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID)at Fort Detrick. This service is required to determine the immunogenicity and safety or potential toxicity of RVEc Vaccine Final Drug Product (FDP) when administered by IM injection to male and female New Zealand White Rabbits in accordance with GLP regulations. Animals will be inoculated by IM injection with saline control or vaccine absorbed to Alhydrogel on Days 1, 29, 57 and 85. On day 88, half of the animals will be euthanized for terminal necropsy. On day 99, all remaining animals will be euthanized for recovery necropsy. Cageside observation shall be conducted at least twice per day. All tissue samples, slides, data, observations, orginal notebooks and final reports must be delivered to USAMRIID after completion of work. All responsible sources may submit an offer for consideration. Offerors will be required to submit recent internal statement of procedures, FDA 482 inspection information, copies FDA 483 reports and 483 inspections. Past performance of the last 3 years with awards relating to this service, must be submitted with the proposal. Telephone requests will not be honored and bidder lists will not be maintained. Potential offerors are required to direct all questions via email to erin.becker@amedd.army.mil. All interested parties shall provide their quote to Erin Becker at erin.becker@amedd.army.mil by 1:00 p.m. on September 16, 2008. A firm-fixed price contract is planned. Award is anticipated on or about Setpember 22, 2008.
