- Description
- The Postal Service plans to issue a Fixed Price Contract to renovate the Mail Equipment Shop located at 2135 5th St NE, Washington DC. The contractors must provide all material, labor, tools, plant, supplies, equipment, transportation, superintendence, temporary construction of every nature, and all other services and facilities necessary to: Complete roof tear-off & replacement; Exterior façade stabilization & repair; Upgrade two elevators; Fire alarm system removal & upgrade; New electrical service to building; and, Upgrade electrical distribution system. All work is to be done in accordance with USPS approved plans and specifications. The estimated cost of the project is between $1,300,000 and $1,500,000 with construction completion within 120 calendar days from notice to proceed.
