Description
Washington Headquarters Service intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to PerkinElmer LAS, Inc., 710 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT 06484-4750, for a maintenance agreement on the Janus 4-Tip Platform system that is no longer covered by the one year warranty agreement. The Government owns the Janus 4-Tip Platform and in order to maintain the system in optimal performance and to prevent system downtime, the Government needs to purchase an extended service agreement allowing maintenance and repairs as needed. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations; you may forward your companies’ Capability Statement. The capability statement shall include the following: a. Past Performance for same or similar projects; b. Dollar amount and volume of projects performed; c. Current Security Clearance status. Incomplete capability statements will not be honored. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than September 4, 2008. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
