- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the National Logistics Support Center (NLSC), intends to make one award as an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type of contract for the acquisition of quarterly preventive maintenance. The contract will cover a five (5) year period. It is critical to keep all equipment in working condition so the NLSC can perform their duties by utilizing their facility in order to fulfill the needs of the customers. The maintenance of equipment is for 48 pieces, located at the National Logistics Support Center (NLSC), Kansas City, MO. The list consists of Minute Miser (Cushman - 13 ea); Titan (Cushman - 7 ea); UTV-Maxim (Cushman - 1 ea); Narrow Aisle Lift Truck (Drexel - 7 ea); Sit-Down Forklifts (Yale - 4 ea), (Tusk - 1 ea), (Clark - 1 ea); Stand-up Forklifts (Yale - 7 ea), (Raymond - 1 ea); Electric Pallet Trucks (Yale - 2 ea), (Crown -1 ea); Man Lift (Grove - 1 ea); Sweeper/Scrubber (Advance Sweeper - 1 ea); Battery Charger (Exide - 1 ea). The maintenance to be performed is as follows: Inspection Performed on All Equipment: Check wheels, lug nuts, tires, brake lines/cable and connectors, solenoids and contactors, speed controller, drive motor (brushes), pedal pads, steer axle, steering components, linkage and adjust brakes, brake lines, brake and steering fluid levels, differential and lube as needed. Forklift Inspections: Check hydraulic lines and fittings, fork and locks, mast channel/chains/hydraulic lines, lift/tilt/side shift cylinders, attachments, rotating attachments, clamp cylinders and pads, add hydraulic oil. Operation Checks: Drive motor, direction controls, steering, gauges, lights, horn, warning light and sounder, brakes, park brakes, mast, charger. The intended procurement is for services for which the Government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items. The Central Region Acquisition Division (CRAD) requires all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
