- The following information applies to this amendment. See below. Rationale for Brand Name Procurement 1. Contracting Agency – Acquisition and Procurement Office (A&PO). 2. Description of Action – A brand name procurement using FY 08 Operations & Maintenance (O&M) funds. This action is for Washington Headquarters Services/Administration and Program Support Directorate (WHS/APSD). 3. Description of Supplies/Services – This requirement is for the purchase of Share@Pam software. This software will be used for the APSD Boards and Commission Collaboration Project. The requirement cannot be satisfied unless the following specifications/capabilities are satisfied: Share@Pam provides capabilities for multiple archiving jobs that can be generated for the SharePoint Portal documents in compliance with all mandated regulations (NARA). Share@PAM archives data in its original format and is referenced in the SharePoint Portal through html links. Single Instance Storage is used for the SharePoint store which provides a cost effective technique for the overall set-up. In addition archived documents in the application are still available to the user in the same way as before for Boards and Commission transparency requirements. (Archiving functionally—WHS and NARA) 4. Justification – There will be a contract to implement a collaborative working environment for the Washington Headquarter Services, Administration and Program Support Directorate (APSD), Boards and Commission division, for the implementation of SharePoint 2007 and associated services to administer and maintain the current and future boards and commissions committees and task force management through collaboration of records, archiving, dashboards and retrieval management efforts including electronic and non-electronic records, in accordance with OSD Administrative Instruction Number 15 and emerging National Archives and Records Administration guidelines. The software listed above will be used in conjunction with the implementation of SharePoint 2007 and associated services.
