- BEARING, PLAIN, NSN: 3120-01-115-3785, PN: 12292790. The Government intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, 3-Yr Long-Term Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity solicitation to Roller Bearing Company of America, 60 ROUND HILL RD, FAIRFIELD,CT 06824-5172 restricted under FAR 6.302-1, for the production of BEARING,PLAIN; NSN:3120-01-115-3785. Based on the FAR exception noted above, the Government intends to immediately issue this solicitation requirement to Roller Bearing Company as follows. This synopsis is being published for contracting and subcontracting purposes, offers from other contractors are not solicited. Currently the Government does own a competitive TDP; however there is only one qualified source. Any company interested in this procurement would first have to become a fully qualified source. To become qualified any offeror would first have to manufacture this item, (at your own cost) and submit them for qualification and first article testing in the next higher level assembly, meeting the required delivery dates for this procurement. The next higher assembly level tests may include passing an Operational test on a Bradley Vehicle. Any proposal received will be reviewed. Please note that the Government does not intend to deviate or allow any extensions from the required service schedule. The FOB point is Destination. Item is for use on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System (BFVS). Estimated issue date is 05 SEP 2008. This solicitation is issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502, 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
