- The Bay Pines VA Healthcare Systems anticipates awarding sole source procurement to Terra Recon, Inc., to provide the following: 3D Reconstruction Hardware and Software. This purchase will allow State-of-the-Art image processing technology for multiple modalities of Imaging Service. This equipment allows for a seamless transition to our VISN PACS system, allows multiple users to access the reconstruction capabilities at any time, without limitations and from multiple locations within the Medical Center, and perform time-intensive tasks, such as full cardiac reconstructions, anatomy identifying capabilities, and hanging protocols specific to Radiologist specifications, before the study is opened, increasing accuracy and timeliness for CT and MRI imaging exams. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1). No solicitation will be issued; however, all quotations received on or before September 8, 2008 will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is on or before September 9, 2008.
