Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being requested as a Request for Quote (RFQ); solicitation number is H92244-08-T-0214, as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract with fixed unit prices. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26, effective 12 June 2008. North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) 238390 applies to this procurement. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business. The size standard is $13 Million. Schedule of Supplies/Services CLIN 0001: The contractor shall provide and install a mezzanine system. The mezzanine system shall be approximately: 18' x 10'8" x 9'3" top, under clearance of 7'6", live load capacity of 125 psf, deflection factor of 1/360, total area of 193 square feet, column to be structural steel tub. There are only 4 columns clear span. The government requires main steel of structural wide flange "I" beams, deck will be of bar grating approximately 1" x 1/8" bar size, painted black. The contractor shall provide one (1) OSHA stairway with an OSHA handrail of 18 lineal feet with one lift out gate. Includes diamond plate deck on existing mezzanine only. 19'x16' on top of existing bar grating deck. Paint gray after installation on top side only. CLIN 0002: The contractor shall provide and install a vertical reciprocating conveyor. The size shall be approximately 72" w x 60" d with a lifting capacity of 5,000 pounds, a speed of 20 FPM. The government requires a carriage with a smooth steel deck with overhead clearance of approximately 7', safety rails of 42" high on two sides. Chains and straps shall be provided for the open ends. The carriage shall be guided by heavy duty rollers inside the vertical columns. The contractor shall provide a motor control panel in compliance with NEMA 12 enclosure and include overhead protection. Upper and lower enclosures with electromechanical gates, permanently mounted approach plates front and rear for pallet jack access and approach plates to be mounted to the floor. CLIN 0003: The contractor shall provide and install cages with the following dimensions for the downstairs area: One "L" shaped cage approximately 13'2" x 16'10" x 8" high with one slide gate of 4' wide. The contractor shall provide cages with the following dimensions for the upper level area: Two cages are to be approximately 8'9', 6"x 8' tall with ceilings. Cages shall include sliding gates that are 4'w x 7' h. Three cages are to be approximately 6'x 6' x 8' tall with ceilings. Two cages to include slide gate 3'wide and one cage shall have 3' wide swing gate. One cage shall be 7' x 6' x 8' tall with ceiling to include 3' wide slide gate. All cages shall include padlock lugs. All measurements are approximate, the contractor will be required to attend a site visit. A site survey will be conducted at the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, 1636 Regulus Avenue, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23461-2299 on Tuesday, August, 26, 2008 at 9:00AM EST.
