Description
The VA Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Gordon Stowe for an Intelligent Hearing System for VA Madison, WI. To the best of our knowledge Gordon Stowe is the only distributor of the Smart EP Intelligent Hearing System. Also, this Intelligent Hearing System is the only product that meets Madison VA's needs. Based on information from our technical staff this Intelligent Hearing System is the only product that performs visual and somnosensory testing required for the EIP patients and also provides otoacoustic emission, evoked potential P300 and tinnitus assessment testing. This system allows us to integrate our Neurology and Audiology needs into one system. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. Contract is firm fixed price and the NAICS Code is 339112. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitations documents are available and telephone requests will NOT be honored. However, if a firm believes it can meet the requirements it must furnish information about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and service, to the Contracting Officer within (5) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC GLAC, 5000 W. National Ave Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Gordon Stowe.
