- The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is seeking qualified contractors to provide data center management services. DOL is looking for firms that qualify under the Small Business Programs mentioned in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 19. When submitting your response, it is vital that you indicate under which program(s) you qualify, including Hubzone, Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a) program, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business. The NAICS Code is 541513, Computer Facilities Management Services, the Size Standard for which is $25M. The work to be provided is described in the draft statement of work attached to this announcement. Responses must the include the following: -Company information: name, address, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone number, and DUNS number. Identify all socio-economic categories into which your company fits. -Describe your company’s capability to perform work similar to the effort described in the Attachment A. (Limit to 20 pages or less) All contractors responding to this announcement must demonstrate their ability to: 1.Provide personnel in the specified labor categories who meet the qualifications shown in Attachment B and who can pass a background check for sensitive positions. 2.Demonstrate prior corporate experience managing a contract staffed with over 100 personnel located on a site other than the contractor’s own. 3.Obtain a credit line of at least $2.5 million. Interested vendors must provide their response via e-mail with the subject line reading “RFI xxx”, to the following e-mail address Responses are due September 18, 2008 by 3 p.m. local prevailing time. The response must be specific to the qualifications listed above. Submissions shall not exceed a total of 20 pages. A determination by the Government to proceed with the acquisition as a set-aside is within the discretion of the Government. Please be advised that telephone inquiries will not be accepted. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. In accordance with Federal Acquisition regulation (FAR) 10.002(b)2)(i) this notice is issued for the purpose of market research. This request is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Solicitation or an indication the Government will contract for the items contained in this notice. This notice is not to be construed as an acquisition request for Proposal (RFP), nor is any commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract implied, nor does the Government intend to pay for any cost associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred to interested parties for responses to this notice. Any response received will not be used as a proposal.
