- The purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the FAA's decision to award the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Safety Management Services (SMS) contract to SENTEL Corporation. (Reference SIR Number DTFAWA-08-R-00519). The program is the focal point for the application of the FAA's Safety Management System principles which include: safety policy, safety risk management, safety assurance (safety audits, evaluations, quality assurance and quality control), and safety promotion (SMS training, promoting an open and proactive safety culture, reporting findings to improve safety performance, and related actions. The contract type is a Cost Plus- Fixed Fee contract. The period of performance is for one base year and four one year options. The total estimated cost and fixed fee for this effort is $21,689,117.87
