- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items reference number AV8R105500R100 issued on 27 August 2008 prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for certain commercial items found at FAR Part 13.5. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions ands clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement, Defense Change Notice (DCN) 20080812. The NAICS code is 332995 and the small business size standard is over 1000. The following commercial services requested in this solicitation are for market research only. Technical data (engineering drawings and/or specifications) are not available because of proprietary rights of the manufacturer. The Government requires the teardown and repair of seven (7) each M230 AC Motors Part Number 7-317213000-OP and pricing for a replacement Motor if said part is beyond repair. This system is needed to provide service in Lexington Kentucky. The period of performance is unknown at this time. FOB point is Origin. Inspection and acceptance shall be at Origin by the Government. All items shall be delivered to Technology Applications Program Office, Bldg 195, 5749 Blair Hill Road, Lexington, KY 40516. Required delivery is open to negotiation. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items. Offers shall be evaluated on a technically acceptable, low offer basis. The clause at 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and the offeror must ensure a completed ORCA is available for download. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items.
