- "The proposed acquisition will be processed using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items as set forth in reference (a)." The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, PA, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for the lease of EMC Corporation computer equpment, EMC software, and procurement of associated technical services to replace the Storage Area Networks at the Joint Computer-aided Aquisition and Logistic Support (JCALS) facilities deployed at NSWCCD-SSES, Philadelphia, PA and NATEC, San Diego, CA. The Storage Area Network shall consist of the following hardware and software:EMC Celerra Storage Devices (NS40 and NS20) including appropriate rack, processing units, power supplies and drive enclosures.Two EMC Brocade Connectrix DS-4100B Fibre Channel switches (32 port configuration Two EMC Brocade Connectrix DS-4100B Fibre Channel switches (16 port configuration).Four MS Open Market Windows Servers to act as the EMC Control Center server and EMC/Legato Networker Backup Controller, respectively.Emulex LP9002L-E PCI 2GB Fibre Channel CardOne Quantum Scalar i500 Tape Library with 36-slots(LTO-4 type tapes) for backup and recovery operations, as well as backup and cleaning tapes, and labeling media.One Quantum Scalar 50 Tape Library 38-slotsSoftware to properly operate and maintain the Storage Area Network, including EMC Control Center, EMC Navisphere, EMC Powerpath, EMC Replication Manager and EMC/Legato Networker (including Oracle Module), as well as Physical Media for Software (including documentation).All Mounting Hardware and Power cables.The technical services shall include the following:Secure mitigation of data from existing EMC storage devices to new EMC storage devices.Examination of current storage environment at NSWCCD-SSES and NATEC and configuration of new storage resources to all connected servers, including deployment of all appropriate software.Installation and configuration of EMC/Legato Networker Backup environment, including software, tape libraries and fiber networking backbone.Configuration and deployment of appropriate licenses for all software, for all connected services.
