- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W911QX-08-T-0199. this acquisition is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This acquisition is a sole source to American Isostatic Presses, Inc., dba AIP, 1205 S. Columbus Airport Road, Columbus, OH 43207-4304 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Place of Performance: U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-5001. (ii) The solicitation number is W911QX-08-T-0199 This acquisition is issued as an RFQ. (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-26. (iv) The associated NAICS code is 333994. The small business size standard is 500. (v) The following is a list of contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure, (including option(s), if applicable): CLIN 0001 QTY 1 Hot Isostatic Press, Model AIP 10-30H (vi) Description of requirements: NA (vii) Delivery is required by 24-28 weeks after receipt of order. Delivery shall be made to Shipping and Receiving, Building 434, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-5001. Acceptance shall be performed at at the same location. The FOB point is destination. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following addenda have been attached to this provision: None (ix) The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items is not applicable to this acquisition. (x) Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFARS 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -Commercial Items, with its offer. (xi) The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
