- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD intends to issue a sole source modification to an exisiting delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00421-05-D-0008 with Rockwell Collins, 400 Collins Road, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52498 for the integration and testing of CDU 7000 and EFDS software and hardware systems within the P-3C aircraft. Rockwell Collins is the only known source that currently manufactures a HF Radio that operates in the required frequency spectrum (2 to 29.99 Mhz) and has the technical capability to integrate the AN/ARC-230-HF Radio and the AN/ULQ-130 Data Link Systems into the P-3 aircraft for simultaneous HF communications. Rockwell Collins is the only company that is capable of providing an HF radio and data link of the same form, fit and function that is compatible with the existing antenna and airframe infrastructure.
