- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only publication. A written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M6700808Q0104 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26. This solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325120. The government intends to make one award for all line items. Offeror must be able to perform all parts of the requirement to include filling the cylinders, testing, and valve replacement if needed. Offeror will be responsible for pick up and delivery to 814 Radford Blvd. Albany, GA. 31704. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR COMPRESS GAS CYLINDER REFURBISMENT:CYLINDERS WILL BE PICKED UP IN LOTS OF 24 OR LESS. THEY ARE TO BE SAND BLASTED, PAINTED, AND STENCILED ACCORDING TO USMC STANDARDS SET FORTH IN MIL-STD 101 B, SECTION 5.2 PAGE 14 CYLINDER IDENTIFICATON. ALL CYLINDERS SHALL BE PAINTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH TABLE III AND FIGURES 2 AND 3. THIS DOCUMENT HAS BEEN ATTACHED.ADDITIONAL STENCILING INFORMATION IS TO DISPLAY "DSSC" IN LETTERS NO SMALLER THAN 1 AND 1/2 INCHES IN A CONTRASTING COLOR OF THE CYLINDERS AND MUST BE LEGIBLE. ALL REFURBISHED CYLINDERS ARE TO BE RETURNED FILLED AND ANY IN NEED OF VALVE REPLACEMENT AND HYDROSTATIC TESTING ARE TO BE ACCOMPLISHED PRIOR TO FILLING. THE FILLING AND REPLACEMENT OF ANY VALVES AND/OR HYDROSTATIC TESTING IS NOT PART OF THIS SOLCITATION AND SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED IN YOUR RESPONSE TO THIS RFQ.THE SUCESSFULL OFFEROR WILL CONTACT DSSC ALBANY. GA PRIOR TO RETURN OF CYLINDERS FOR PAYENT OF FILLING, VALVE REPLACEMENT, AND TESTING. THIS COMBINED SYNOPSIS / SOLICATION IS JUST FOR THE REFURBISHMENT OF THE CYLINDERS. THE CONTRACTOR MUST BE ABLE TO FILL, REPLACE CYLINDER VALVES AND PERFORM HYDROSTATIC TESTING.THE CYLINDERS ARE NOT TO BE PART OF ANY GOVERNMENT "POOL" OF CYLINDERS. ALL ORIGINAL CYLINDERS ARE TO BE RETURNED. ALL REFURBISHED CYLINDERS ARE TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL STATE FEDERAL LAWS, REGULATIONS AND BASE ORDERS.
