- Arcata Associates, Inc.(Arcata/UNITeS); in support of the United NASA InformationTechnology Services (UNITeS) Prime Contract, intends to negotiate only, on an sole sourcebasis, with Mentor Graphics to acquire software maintenance upgrade for existingsoftware. Arcata Associates, Inc. intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation as proposals are being requested perthe attached Request for Quote (RFQ), which is located in the attached Word file, alongwith the list of covered items on Attachment A, an Offeror Representations &Certifications (Certs), and Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) Parts I and II, all of which aredeemed to be in the solicitation package. Interested firms have until 10 September 2008,4:00PM CDST to submit in writing to the identified point of contact a response to the RFQand all associated paper work per the instructions. Responses received after the 10September 2008 cutoff without the required information will be considered non-responsiveto the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination byArcata/UNITeS to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis,based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of Arcata Associates,Inc.This requirement is for Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) which must meet theaccessibility standards established by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (29U.S.C. 7941). Further guidance on accessibility can be found in FAR Part 39.2 or at theGSA website http://www.section508.gov/. Specific Line Items No. 1-3 must meetaccessibility standards as published by the Architecture and Transportation BarriersCompliance Board Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Standards (36CFR Part 1194) Subpart B, Technical Standards 1194.21 Software Applications and OperatingSystems. This requirement is for software products.When responding to this combined synopsis/solicitation you are required to inform thisoffice whether or not the products offered in response to this solicitation meet theTechnical Standards of 1194.21 for the specific line items cited above. Please providedocumentation such as your voluntary compliance template or other information thataddresses how your company meets the identified Technical Standards.
