- The Pacific Regional Contracting Office (PRCO) at Tripler AMC, Hawaii intends to award a commercial, non-personal, firm fixed price contract for annual lease, maintenance, and training of a Biotest TANGO optimo Automated Blood Bank System. This requirement is for a period of performance from 15 September 2008 through 14 September 2009 (Base and 4 Option periods). Required services include but are not limited to: 1) an automated blood bank analyzer able to load 3 and 5 ml samples, using cap piercing technology, and perform ABO/Rh, antibody screening (2, 3 and pool cells) and antibody identification of clinically significant antibodies. 2) analyzer shall have its own data management system able to store patient testing results and schedule calibration and quality control testing. The data management system should be able to interface with most laboratory information systems (LIS). 3) The contractor shall be available 24 hours, 7 days per week telephonically. The contractor shall be able to provide on-site service within 48 hours of call (except Federal Holidays) when necessary. The proposed acquisition is intended as a sole source set-aside (Note 22) to Biotest Diagnostics Corporation.
