- Provide all labor and materials in order to replace the current AP-6 valving systems and electric discharge pugs with ANSUL CV-98 valving systems and pneumatic discharge or similar integrating an agent releasing control unit at the Allatoona Dam in Cartersville, Georgia. The new valving systems shall include safety pressure relief devices; however the contractor shall be responsible for providing all necessary components to make the replacement components work safely with the remainder of the system. The new valving system must maintain a manual release capability. The existing cylinders and piping shall be retained. The complete system is not required to meet NFPA 12 requirements. The contractor will be responsible for disposal of removed components. The government shall furnish all necessary utilities. It is anticipated that a Fixed Price contract will be awarded. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The size standard for which is a concern, including its affiliates whose average number of employees does not exceed 500 for the past three (3) years under NAICS 423850. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website ://www.fedteds.gov and will be available for download on or about September 2, 2008. All prospective contractors, subcontractors and suppliers must be registered in FedTeds before they will be allowed to download solicitation information. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Governments best interest. Solicitation documents will be posted on FedTeds. FedTeds is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information. When solicitation documents have been issued and posted to FedTeds, synopsis or pre-solicitation notice will be amended and a link provided to access FedTeds. The process to download from FedTeds will be provided with the link. Registration instructions can be found on the FedTeds Website (https://www.fedteds.gov) by clicking on the Register with FedTeds Hyperlink.
