- Sole Source: The United States Army Contracting Command, Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Enterprise and Installation Operation (E&IO), MICC Center Yuma, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Zodiac Data Systems, Heim Data Division, 12725 Morris Road Extension, Suite 180, Alpharetta, GA 30004. This requirement is for one (1) each Zodiac Data System Airborne Data Recorder System to include the following: One (1) each D5300/1 High Speed Recorder Mainframe, 128 Mbit/s, 3 module slots, no modules, no cartridge, C-38999 connectors; One (1) each Cover Box D5000 Cover Box for D500 cartridges; Two (2) each DBM12 Blanking Module; One (1) each VCR40 4-Channel video record with 4-channel voice record; One (1) each D5000 to DxxF cartridge receiver adapter; One (1) each CK-D5000/1 Series Connector kit for D5000/1 short connectors MIL-DTL-38999 Series II; Two (2) each - MS48 MSS Cartridge with 48GB solid state IRIG106CH10; One (1) each VCR40-C-06 Cable DSub to BNC composite and audio only (6-feet); and One (1) each VF-D5000 Helo Anti-Vibration Tray for D5000 for rotorcraft applications. This system is the only recorder that will meet the specific requirements for the intended use. Data collected on the airborne recorder must be compatible with the existing data reduction ground station. This airborne data recorder system must conform to the fit, form and function of the current equipment in use at the YPGs Yuma Test Center, Aviation Systems Division, USAYPG, Yuma, Arizona. Zodiac Data Systems, Inc, Heim Data Division is the only company known to provide this essential compatibility with YPGs current equipment. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses other than the above source may identify their interest and capabilities to perform the requirement by submitting a proposal via email or facsimile with complete mailing address, point of contact, phone number, facsimile number, business size and shall be clearly marked with solicitation number W9124R-08-T-1091.
